BOT Board of Trustees – five parent elected representatives, a staff representative and the Principal are responsible for governing the school.
CRT Classroom Release Time of at least 1 hour/week must be provided for teachers as from Term 4 2005. At Fendalton the Board funds an additional 1/2 hour per week. This means that every 3rd week is a directed session often used for QLC planning.

EHSAS
Extending High Standards Across Schools is a Ministry of Education initiative to provide extra funding to high performing schools so they can develop their programmes further and collaborate with other schools to expand excellence.

ERO
Education Review Office – external auditors of schools. They review schools approx every three years (www.ero.govt.nz).

FFO
Fendalton Friends Outcomes are the outcomes we want all children to have achieved by the time they leave our school. There are a number of outcomes under the headings of Communicator, Dream maker, Team Player and Thinker. These relate to the Ministry of Education’s Key Competencies but are based on our own interpretation of these. Other documents outline the FFO in more detail – please ask!
